Rand-Whitney Containerboard (RWCB) is a manufacturer of high-quality, recycled linerboard. Conceived in the early 1990s, the operation focuses on being as sustainable as any linerboard mill in the world.
RWCB manufactures its high-performance linerboard from 275,000 tons of 100 percent post-consumer waste fiber that would otherwise be sent to landfills or trash burning facilities and was the first to use 100 percent recycled process water from the municipal wastewater treatment plant.
In addition, RWCB’s energy is supplied by a high-efficiency combined heat and power system that uses clean natural gas to generate steam and electricity that is 100 percent used for its operations. This results in lower emissions and uses less power from the grid.
